About

Thank you for taking time to inquire about our Preschool. We would like to share some information about ourselves to help you make an informed decision in the care of your children.

OUR PROGRAM

Cross Town Preschool  started in August 2002 at that time the preschool was open Monday – Friday 9:00AM to 2:30 PM. Since then we have expanded our hours to 7AM to 6PM, to fit the needs of our families. In the fall of 2013 we added an infant room and made the decision to stay open year round. The center is governed by a church appointed school board and administered by the Director. Each member of the teaching staff possesses competency and understanding essential in teaching young children as well as the basic love for little children. Each teacher receives a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education every year. The staff is certified in CPR and First Aid. Our teachers believe that children are a gift from God that you have entrusted to our care. We will love and care for your child as though he were one of our own, for he is a child of God. Children are our only business…..they come first in our hearts and dedication.

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the preschool is to provide care, education, and development for each child enrolled to his/her greatest potential spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. We are committed to providing biblically based, age-appropriate experiences to allow each child to progress in these areas at his/her own level ability while enjoying feelings of success. This is primarily done through hands on activities in learning centers and positive Christ like role modeling of the staff. Parent’s newsletters will keep you informed about each unit designed for your child’s class.

OUR CURRICULUM

Our classes are open to any child regardless of race, nationality, or religious beliefs. The curriculum is appropriately designed to the age groups and to the stage of development of each child. We believe that a child absorbs his concept of God from people, things, and experiences that are part of his/her environment. Thus, a love and appreciation for God, and the things God has made are stressed through appropriate activities. Unit curriculum is designed to help the child develop in all facets of his life…physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
